Frequently Asked Questions

What is physiotherapy, and how can it help me?

Physiotherapy is a type of treatment which helps to restore movement and function when the person is affected by injury, illness or disability. It can also help to reduce the risk of injury or illness in the future. It helps you to recover from your illness, reduces your pain, strengthens and relaxes your muscles and brings back the normal range of motion.

What conditions do physiotherapists treat?

Physiotherapists are the people to help you with issues involving muscles, ligaments, tendons, joints, nerves, and bones. Conditions in which you get pain and lack of mobility, Physiotherapist can treat.

Do I need a referral from a doctor to see a physiotherapist?

Actually not, in most of the cases Physiotherapist themselves can assess and diagnose the condition on their own. in some rare cases therapist seeks some doctor’s opinion.

What should I expect during my first physiotherapy session?

You will go through a complete assessment on your first session. You ll be enquired about your work nature, stress and strain you do, faulty postures and other things which are the causative or aggravating factors of your aches and pain or any other ailments. We ll educate the patient to get rid of those factors to prevent the worsening of their conditions. Then the patient will be informed about the treatment protocol designed for them and we ll proceed with the treatment procedure further.

How long will my physiotherapy treatment take?

Depends on the condition the patient visits for. The treatment duration lasts for about 30 minutes to one hour (approx).

What should I wear to my physiotherapy appointments?

Any clothing you are comfortable with. Just avoid Tight fit clothes.

Can physiotherapy help prevent future injuries?

Physiotherapy is a Holistic Approach that focuses on full body recovery (pain and movements) and only Physiotherapist can provide it but Chiropractic is just a single technique that focuses mainly on Spine and joints relaxation that any other health professionals also do.
